Nestled among the lovely dogwoods and tall pines on three wooded acres near Raleigh, North Carolina, the Meishin Kyudojo is the headquarters of the North Carolina Kyudo Renmei.
Adult classes are currently held on Monday and Wednesday evenings (7 pm to 9 pm) and Saturday mornings (10 am to 12 pm). Bows, arrows, gloves and other equipment necessary for the practice of kyudo are provided by the Meishin Kyudojo. Visitors are always welcome to attend or observe classes but because the Kyudojo is located on private property we ask that you call ahead to schedule an appointment.
Classes are taught by Dan DeProspero, Kyudo Renshi 6th dan, and Jackie DeProspero, Kyudo 5th dan, co-authors of the books Kyudo: The Essence and Practice of Japanese Archery and Illuminated Spirit: Conversations with a Kyudo Master.
